Registration Liaison Committee
The National Registration Authority is the federal regulatory authority in Australia with the responsibility for registering agricultural and veterinary chemicals. The responsibility for controlling the use of these products lies with the individual states under each individual state's legislation. Twice a year representatives from the states meet with the NRA principally to discuss user compliance matters. This meeting has a standing membership and is the Registration Liaison Committee. The ACVM Group participates to provide a New Zealand perspective to similar issues within the agchem and veterinary medicines regulatory arena and to advise Australia of specific issues of interest.
