- Dr Jonathan Taylor has taken over from Dr Barry Marshall as the Registrar of the Animal Remedies Board. The ACVM Group is still undergoing change make sure you check the website (address above) for the latest details of names and contact numbers.
- Fit and proper person criteria: One of the conditions for the issue of a controlled pesticide licence is confirmation that the person concerned is a fit and proper person to be entrusted to apply or use the products safely. We have worked with MAF Legal section and the New Zealand Police to develop this, and a draft policy outlining the criteria we propose to use is on the website.
- The notes from the last AVMAC meeting in July are available on the website. See the Publications insert with this issue for details of other documents also available on the website.
- AVMAC endorsed the adoption of three further VICH guidelines at their July meeting:
| VICH GL3 (Stability 1) | Stability testing of new veterinary drug substances and medicinal products |
| VICH GL4 (Stability 2) | Stability testing for new veterinary dosage forms |
| VICH GL5 (Stability 3) | Stability testing : photostability testing of new veterinary drug substances and medicinal products. |
