Guidelines for the Administration of Boluses |
Guidelines for the oral administration of boluses to sheep, cattle and calves have been developed in a collaboration between the New Zealand Veterinary Association and Agcarm, and are being adopted by licensees of these anthelmintic and zinc oxide products. Licensees are required to ensure that all necessary steps are taken to provide appropriate instructions for administration to farmers to prevent mal-administration of boluses. The guidelines have deliberately omitted instructions for administration to deer because none of the products presented in bolus form are licensed by the Animal Remedies Board for use in deer.
