Class Determination
The fee for this service has increased to $123.75 (incl. GST).
The changes within the border control area have meant more applications, resulting in increased assessment time. This fee, which will take effect immediately, is in line with our current hourly charge out rate.

Import Approvals
An ACVM Approval to Import Animal Remedies and Pesticides for Special Use will incur a fee of $123.75 (incl. GST) per application.
Where multiple applications are made simultaneously, the first is charged as above, and subsequent applications are charged at $61.90 (incl. GST) per half hour or part thereof spent assessing them. An initial payment of $123.75 is required to accompany any application. The remainder will be invoiced where applicable. This will take effect immediately. (See Import Approvals on page 10.)

Certificates of Free Sale
The fee for this service has increased from $100.00 to $110.00 + GST ($123.75).
A certification fee of $123.75 (incl. GST) will be charged for the first certificate. For each additional copy of the certificate on the same day, the charge will be $11.25 (incl. GST).

Low Risk
The Low Risk Registration Information Requirements became effective 15 December 1999. The fee for this service is $911.25 (incl. GST) for animal remedies and pesticides. A variation to a low risk product will incur a fee of $364.50 (incl. GST).

Provisional Variations
A variation to a Provisional License (Animal Remedies) will incur a fee of $364.50 (incl. GST).
A variation to an Experimental Use Permit (Pesticides) will be charged at $364.50 (incl. GST).

Refunds?
A question has been raised on whether the ACVM Group will refund annual fee payments if the ACVM Act commences before 1 July 2000.

We will not refund any part of the annual fees paid for the 1999/2000 year. The ACVM Act fee waiver policy (as described in Proposed fees and charges for ACVM Act services discussion document, which can be found on the website under Publications/Archive) states that if the costs are 25% more or less than the prescribed fee per product AND the difference is greater than $150 per product, then a refund will be made. This is to ensure that the ACVM Group does not incur a net cost for work done in relation to refunds (or to recover additional charges).

Check the website under ‘Publications/ Information Requirements/Fees’ for fees and charges.
