Notification of Toxic Substances

Readers may recall that licensees of animal remedies were urged to notify the Ministry of Health (under section 32 of the Toxic Substances Act 1979) of the details of their products to ensure that they were not required to immediately seek an ERMA NZ approval for each of them as soon as the HSNO Act came into force. ERMA NZ is now receiving these notifications on the toxic substances, and this article is to remind licensees of this notification for any animal remedies that they have licensed after any previous notification. All new licensed products need to be so notified to ERMA NZ by the licensees (they have to sign the forms, so we cannot do it on their behalf) to ensure that they can be legally sold on commencement of the HSNO Act.
