Policies
Several new policies are now available on our website under Publications/Operational Policies:
- ACVM Group Operational Policy on Classification Of Substances As Generally
Recognised As Safe (GRAS) (see this article).
- ACVM Group Operational Policy on Product Approval for Varroa Mite Control (see this article).
- ACVM Group Operational Policy on Technical Consultative Committee.
- ACVM Group Operational Policy on Low Risk Applications.
- ACVM Group Operational Policy on Registration Licensing of Pesticides / Animal
Remedies. Submissions on this policy can be found under the original policy under
Publications/Archives.
Other
- Papers relating to antibiotic resistance (see this article)
can be found under Publications/
Information papers/Antibiotic resistance and in-feed use of antibiotics in New Zealand.
- Our Whos Who page (found under About Us from the front page) has been updated to
include our Customer Services Officers. Photos and contact details of other staff have
also been updated on this page.
- Our list of consultants (found under Publications/ Information
Requirements/Consultants) has been updated to include some extra consultants (see notice here).
- Our list of documents and mandatory dates (found under Publications/Standards/Mandatory dates for
ACVM documents) has been updated to include our latest documents.
- As mentioned in our last issue, a webpage has been
added under the title Vertebrate
Pest Control. This contains forms and study material relating to the issue of
licences to use controlled pesticides. At present, this page can be accessed from the menu
on the right hand side of our front
page.
- Also available from that menu is a new webpage that draws together information about import approvals, including our policies and
application forms.
Printing PDF files
Every so often we have calls from people who are having trouble printing from the files we
display in .pdf (those are the files that show up looking like pages in a book). It may
help to know that when you have a .pdf file that you want to print, you should use the
printer icon that pops up with the file at the top left rather than the printer icon on
the Internet toolbar. Using the Internet toolbar icon usually results in a blank page
being produced frustrating to say the least!!
