Processing of Applications |
The last few months have seen an increase in the volume of applications coming into the ACVM system, with a resultant increase in backlogs and, therefore, in processing time. As always, applicants need to be aware that we process applications in the order they come in the queue. If we need to go back to an applicant to seek more information, that application may go to the end of the queue. To avoid this, applicants should ensure that all relevant information accompanies an application. Where applicants have deadlines to meet, e.g. for products used or marketed seasonally, they should ensure that applications are submitted to the ACVM Group in plenty of time. The Group strives to handle applications as quickly and efficiently as possible, but we must also be thorough and fair to all applicants. The ACVM Group are working to re-establish systems to provide statistics in AgVetLink on the number of applications in our queue in order to give industry an idea of backlogs and trends. |
