ACVM Act Implementation Date

It now appears that the earliest date for implementation of the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines (ACVM) Act will be 1 January 2001. This is likely to be the earliest date for the start up of the hazardous substances part of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms (HSNO) Act to which ACVM Act implementation is linked. As soon as a definite date is known, we will issue a special edition of AgVetLink to advise on start up issues.
