  • Consultants and data assessors workshops: Allen Bryce, National Manager ACVM Approvals, will run the first of a series of workshops designed to familiarise people who want to work as ACVM Act consultants or as accredited risk assessors in the future with the information requirements (including standards and guidelines) and the data assessment process. The workshops are planned for September in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch (if supported by demand). We will provide details to those people who have already indicated an interest in being involved. If you want to be supplied with information on the workshops, please contact Mary Burnett (email: burnettm@maf.govt.nz).
  • The next Animal Remedies and Pesticides Boards meetings will be the annual meetings of the Boards and will be held in Wellington on 20 September 2000.
  • The next AVMAC and Industry Liaison Group meetings (refer to the website under Forums for details of membership, purpose etc) will be held in Wellington on 24 August 2000.
  • Regional conference – Food safety initiative influencing public health and trade: MAF Food will host a regional conference (for areas including South-East Asia and the Pacific Islands) in Auckland on 15 - 17 August. See page 10 for further details.
