Changes

As part of the renovation of the MAF website the ACVM website has had some changes. It now has a standard MAF header and footer on every web page. (This won’t affect PDF files or any format apart from HTML files.) There is a ‘printer friendly’ option on some of the pages to make the information easier to download.

You may need to click ‘refresh’ in your web browser to make sure you are getting the most recent versions of the pages in the ACVM website.

Policies

The following operational policies have been finalised and can be found under Publications/Operational Policies and Procedures:

  • ACVM Group Operational Policy on Compliance
  • ACVM Group Operational Policy on Regulatory Control to Protect the Quality of Primary Produce
  • ACVM Operational Policy on Product Approval for Varroa Mite Control – Extension of the Operational Policy for ‘Organic’ Products

Forms

The following form has been updated and can be found under Publications/ Forms or via the Site A-Z under Import Approvals:

  • Application for Approval to Import Animal Remedies or Pesticides for Special Use

This form has been updated in order to clarify the categories available and the information to be provided for each category. It has become clear that applicants were not sure into which category a potential import fell. We have also included excerpts from the operational policy on importation of animal remedies so that applicants can check what products may or may not be imported using this facility.

Information Papers

A new subject page devoted to 2,4-D has been set up and can be accessed via the Site A-Z. It contains the following information papers, which can also be accessed via Publications/ Information Papers:

  • Report of the Pesticides Board Expert Panel on 2,4-D
  • Submissions on the 2,4-D Review
