AgVetLink: Number 58, October 2006
From the Director
In this issue, MUMS is the word! We invite your comments on an issue that challenges regulatory authorities all over the world (page 4).
The first ‘plant compound’ prosecution brought by NZFSA under the ACVM Act has resulted in a conviction for supply of unregistered products (page 8). Unregistered products also feature in our concerns about the practices employed by some beekeepers in their attempt to combat varroa mite. Our trade in honey could be seriously damaged by residues (page 12).
PAR trading is examined in the report of our ‘slice of life’ review of veterinarians and in the audit of veterinary wholesalers (pages 10-12). Supply of product is another side of the coin (page 9).
We hope you will take a few minutes to complete our Client Survey (enclosed or online). Your feedback is appreciated.
