ACVM Act Amendment Bill

The Bill is with the Primary Production Select Committee, and the submission procedure (written and oral) has been completed. NZFSA is now working with the Parliamentary Counsel Office to make amendments to the Bill. The Select Committee is expected to report back to Parliament in June.

ACVM Regulations

Parliamentary Counsel Office is drafting changes to the exemption regulations and the Cabinet process should be completed for signing by the Governor-General in late May. The legislation will then be notified in the Gazette and will come into force 28 days after this notification.
