Legislation update

The ACVM Bill was reported back from the Primary Production Select Committee on 29 May and is now awaiting its second reading (which is when the Select Committee report is debated). Although it is not possible to say exactly when this will occur, it is hoped the Bill will progress through the remaining parliamentary stages over the next month or so.

The ACVM Regulations Amendment is in the final stages and is likely to be Gazetted in early July, which would give a commencement date in early August.
