From the Director

The NZFSA and MAF split is official. Separation takes effect on 1 July. We have had several queries concerning the process, and frequently asked questions are presented on page 2.

ACVM team members attended Mystery Creek Fieldays again this year and were happy to see a reduction in the level of non-compliance with ACVM Act requirements. The main area where compliance could be improved was herbal and homeopathic veterinary medicines (page 3).

The ACVM Regulations Amendment is likely to be Gazetted in July, which means commencement in August (page 4).

And a last minute reminder: 1 July is the deadline for HSNO compliance and updating labels to meet ACVM requirements. See the April issue if you need more information.
