FairAd Policy

The ACVM Group recently requested an opinion from the FairAd Committee regarding advertising restricted veterinary medicine prices. The question arose in regards to prescription animal remedy (PAR) information supplied on ‘mail drop flyers’ by a registered trader to farmers in the Taranaki and Waikato districts.

Using FairAd and advice from other regulators for this type of issue gives the ACVM Group some guidelines on whether our policies/standards are 'in sync' with best practices in the marketplace. We are very supportive of the role FairAd plays and we appreciate the time and effort that was given to this matter.
