As 2007 comes to an end, we are beginning the changes needed to implement the newly amended ACVM Act (page 2). Workshops to explain aspects of these changes and to get your input have been held in Auckland and Wellington.

Changes in the Act have also prompted the need to review fees and charges. We will be proposing such things as a new annual fee due date and a single fee for all products ((page 6).

Discussion documents will be released as soon as possible in the new year. In addition to cost recovery, these will cover operational and regulation changes in areas such as manufacturing, labelling, advertising and own use, eg compounding.
