Import Approval Requests at Registration Renewal

An 'import approval' is required to bring unfinished product into New Zealand for the purpose of repacking and/or relabelling. (This includes any formulations, bulk products, unlabelled products and products labelled with foreign labels that need to be relabelled in compliant labelling for sale as a registered product in New Zealand.)

If you have received a letter from the ACVM Group advising that your product is due for registration renewal and you require an import approval, then please indicate this in your renewal request letter. The letter should also include the company name and address of the site where the unfinished product will be repacked and/or relabelled.
