Provisional Registration

Used for the purpose of applying for provisional registration of a trade name product to enable an applicant to carry out trial work in order to obtain: 

• further information (e.g. efficacy, safety, residue trials) on that product and to determine whether it should be registered in New Zealand; or 
• information other than that required for registration of the product in New Zealand (i.e. general research on the product or trials required for registration of the product in another country).
