Veterinary Medicine Changes: Workshop Venues

Workshops to cover changes to veterinary medicine system
The New Zealand Food Safety Authority (NZFSA), the Veterinary Council of New Zealand (VCNZ), and the New Zealand Veterinary Association (NZVA) have been working together on the reclassification of veterinary medicines and the resulting changes needed to the VCNZ Code of Professional Conduct.
Half day workshops for veterinarians, co-hosted by NZFSA, VCNZ and NZVA, will be held in various locations over the March/April 2009 period. The workshops will cover:
• the changes from the prescription animal remedy (PAR) system to the restricted veterinary medicine system
• the part of the proposed code of professional conduct for veterinarians dealing with the management of veterinary medicines.
