WAIVER OF OFFICIAL ASSURANCE FEE

 Animal Products (Fees, Charges, and Levies) Regulations 2002

 Under regulation 5B of the Animal Products (Fees, Charges, and Levies) Regulations 2002 ("the Regulations"), the Director-General of Agriculture and Forestry has the power to waive any fee specified in the Regulations, in whole or in part, in any appropriate case or class of cases.

Under regulation 5B of the Regulations, I now waive in part the following fee in Schedule 1, Part 1, Item 12:

Where an official assurance is issued for fish (including shellfish) products and the assurance is not issued concurrently with a paid Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry verification visit, that part of the fee above $20.00 is waived.

This waiver takes effect from 1 January 2004.
