Waiver of Fees for Laboratory Signatories Approved under the LAS Scheme

Animal Products (Fees, Charges and Levies) Regulations 2002

Under regulation 5B of the Animal products (Fees, Charges and Levies) Regulations 2002 the Director-General of Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has the power to waive any fee specified in the Regulations, in whole or in part, in any particular case or class of cases.

Pursuant to regulation 5B of those Regulations, I now waive the following fees for those persons making their application under section 102 of the Animal Products Act 1999 for accreditation to undertake any or all of the signatory functions for the Seafood Testing Methods and Matrices official test numbers 11.1.1 to 11.8.5:

• The fee in Schedule 4, Part 1, Item 9 for “Application under section 102 for recognition or accreditation…$110”.

This waiver does not apply to applications to undertake signatory functions for those signatories where the tests listed in the application includes any other official tests other than those specified above.

This waiver takes effect from 24 June 2005 until 1 October 2006 (inclusive)
