Consultation - Petfood Processing

The Codes of Practice are being developed by the New Zealand Food Safety Authority in consultation with Industry. They apply to businesses involved with the processing of animal material and animal products for the manufacture as petfood; to assist these operators to meet the legislative requirements of the Animal Products Act 1999 and its related requirements.

The Codes are being issued in draft form as part of the consultation process with interested stakeholders.

This consultation closed on 11 February 2005.
