1 Prior Notice Final Rule
1.1 F21-08 Bioterrorism Act –Prior Notice issued 10 November 2008 advised that the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recently published a final rule for the prior notice of food and cosmetic imports into the USA. This rule made some changes to the pre-existing prior notice requirements. FDA has now published guidance to assist any entity, regardless of size, to comply with the regulations that require the submission to FDA of prior notice of food, including animal feed, that is imported or offered for import into the United States. This document also serves as FDA’s Small Entity Compliance Guide.

2.1 This FYI revokes and replaces F21/08, Bioterrorism Act – Prior Notice.
