Recognised agencies and persons

NZFSA recognises agencies and persons under the Animal Products Act 1999 to perform key functions and activities. Recognition ensures agencies have management systems in place to ensure delivery of these functions and that persons are competent to do the job.

The key functions are:

• evaluation of risk management programmes

• verification of risk management programmes

• laboratory analysis
