Instruction Sheet for Importers/Distributors/ Suppliers/ Direct Marketers of Pan Pharmaceuticals Limited
To aid Importers/Distributors/ Suppliers/ Direct Marketers of Pan Pharmaceuticals Limited manufactured products, to comply with their obligations in the event of a recall under Section 40 of the Food Act 1981, the following instructions should be followed:

Remove products produced by Pan Pharmaceuticals Limited from distribution and sale.

If you are not certain if a product is made by Pan Pharmaceuticals Limited, please check the recall notices issued by the Minister for Food Safety. Please also check with your supplier/distributor.

Ensure all of these products are held in safe custody. This means that the product(s) are:

Contained or quarantined (Stored in a secure place, separated from all other products).

Labelled clearly " Not for use" or similar
Also ensure that all staff are aware they are not to sell or distribute any of these products.

Issue directions to all retailer/seller(s) who has received product from your business, produced by Pan Pharmaceuticals Limited, on how to return the affected product to your business.

Complete a review of the returned stock containing the following the following information:

Your details (company name, key contact, phone, fax, e-mail and address)

Product name(s), batch numbers and expiry dates affected.

Quality of each of the products released onto the New Zealand market and total amount returned as part of the recalls. Also record the amount held in storage and never released onto the market.

Outline your method of secure containment.

Send the above information to the NZFSA by post or fax.
