Dairy Industry Export Committee

The Dairy Industry Export Committee (DIEC) is a working group set up by the NZFSA's Dairy team to provide input into the strategic direction and prioritise the activities of the Dairy Technical Market Access Programme. The committee reports to the Dairy Products Safety Advisory Council (DPSAC).

DIEC is being set up to provide a forum for all sectors of the dairy industry to have input into this area of the dairy group's work programme.

The functions of the Export Committee include:

  • Providing input into the strategic direction of the Dairy Technical Market Access Programme
  • Prioritising the activities of the Dairy Technical Market Access Programme
  • Working through trade, policy and overseas market access issues and direction
  • Working through any market access standards
  • Cost recovery of activities and projects.
  • Communicating relevant market access information to other exporters and affected parties.
