Animal Products (Dairy) Approved Criteria
Dairy Product Criteria (DPC)
Approved Criteria (including DPCs), are documents which set out additional criteria for the purpose of elaborating and clarifying the outcome requirements from regulations and specifications.
Approved Criteria serve as a reference for those developing, evaluating or verifying risk management programmes, or for those assessing, recognising or approving people, organisations, operations, chemicals or other things under the Act.
Approved Criteria issued under the Animal Products (Dairy Processing Specifications) Notice 2006 are approved by the Director-General. Alternatives to these criteria may be recognised as valid and appropriate where an equivalent and acceptable outcome can be shown to be achieved.
The requirements set out in Approved Criteria are intended to be read in conjunction with the Animal Products Act 1999, and all applicable regulations, specifications, notices, and other criteria issued under the Act.
