Overseas market access requirements (OMARs) - dairy products

OMARs previously titled Export Requirements and Importing Country Requirements (ICR).

The following export requirements are for dairy material and dairy products intended for export. The requirements are made under section 60A of the Animal Products Act 1999.

Access to dairy OMARs

The OMARs are password protected (). Bilateral market access agreements can contain sensitive material and are therefore accorded a degree of confidentiality. User access to the documents is restricted to persons or parties who hold a risk management programme, exporters, NZFSA, and recognised persons and agencies.

Country-specific requirements

Some countries may have specific requirements for New Zealand dairy products into their country. These countries are listed below. Select a country using the pull-down menu.

General requirements

As well as specific requirements for each country there are general requirements which must be met.

OMAR notifications

OMAR notification notices are infrequently used for urgent country specific requirements or such situations such as the introduction of a common certificate (s) to be used by a number of countries and where there are no other known requirements.

When an OMAR for a particular country is updated relevant notifications will be incorporated.
