E-cert Company Coordinator

The E-cert company coordinator role was set up to facilitate E-cert communication between NZFSA and NZFSA registered companies (RMPs and Exporters) and to provide larger companies with the ability to set up and maintain E-cert access for their employees.

The E-cert company coordinator responsibilities include:

Setting up and maintaining E-cert access for company users

Acting as a conduit for E-cert information including:

- Disseminating applicable information distributed by e-mail or phone call to E-cert users or applicable computer systems personnel

- Liaising with NZFSA over any applicable issues or events

- Proposing enhancements for E-cert

- Accessing E-cert information applicable to their company, such as resubmission rates.

Advising company users of their responsibilities when requesting access to E-cert

Acting as a conduit for E-cert information including:

- Disseminate applicable information distributed by e-mail or phone call to users or applicable computer systems personnel

- Liaise with NZFSA over any applicable issues or events

- Propose improvements for E-cert

- Access E-cert information applicable to their company, such as resubmission rates

Advising the NZFSA of any changes in company status eg change in organisation owner

Assisting with managing E-cert risks, including:

- Ensuring there is a valid Business Continuity Plan in place in the event that company systems or E-cert are unavailable

- Monitoring security and ensuring that company users are aware of their responsibilities for using E-cert

- Supervising or training company users in using E-cert

If you wish to implement the E-cert Company Coordinator role:

Identify a suitable person (Note that this is per company, not per premises)

Complete the E-cert Company Coordinator Application form

Advise company personnel that once the company coordinator is in place, all E-cert access requests must go through that person.
