Exhaustion Reports

All approved Eligibility Documents (EDs) have a link to a Product Exhaustion Report in the Exhaustion Panel located at the bottom of the ED, in the Industry view, or at the top of the ED, in the VA view. In addition, the VA view source summary table has a link to the Source Product Exhaustion Report for each product item.

The reports are generated when the link is clicked and are current at that time. Other items may have been added to it after you clicked the link and you would not see them unless you refresh the report.

Product Exhaustion Report

Below is an example of a Product Exhaustion Report.

Header
This identifies the ED for which you are viewing the exhaustion report and when the report was generated.

Product
In this column is a list of all the product items on the ED whether or not they have been used as a source for another certificate. Items that have not been used as a source do not appear on the list.

Consisting of
The number and type of packages and the description for each product item in the first column.

Used to Create
For each product item on the ED this column details the quantity, type of package and description of any outgoing product items which use this as a source. These will appear on the report as soon as a certificate is raised with this item as the source.

Added up these give the total number of packages derived from the current certificate product item at the time the report was generated. If the packages coming in are the same as the ones going out, the total in the Used to Create column shall not exceed the number of packages in the Consisting of column.

Of Destination Product(s)
The certificate(s) and product item number(s) which have the current certificate item as a source and their status.

Consisting of (in total)
The total number and description of the packages in the certificate item from the Of Destination Product(s) column.

Source Product Exhaustion Report

This report is only available to NZFSA Inspectors from the Source Summary Table link. It is a report for all the sources of a particular outgoing product item and the information is grouped according to the incoming certificate/product item number.

Report Header
This displays the outgoing certificate and product item for which the Source Product Exhaustion Report has been generated. It provides the amount and type of product on the outgoing certificate and its status. It also displays when the report was created and how many source certificates there are for the outgoing product item.

Source Certificate Header
This provides the certificate and product item number, the total number of packages and the product description of the source item.

Used to Create
This displays all the outgoing products based upon the particular source certificate product item. The shaded entry at the top of the list is the current item for which the report was generated. The total of this column should be no greater than the amount in the Source Certificate Header if the packages that came in were the same as the ones that went out.

Of Destination Certificate
This is a list of the certificate and product item numbers that have used the source certificate product item. The status of those certificates is shown here except for the certificate for which the report was generated - its status is in the report header.

Consisting of (in total)
The total number of packages, and their descriptions, on each of  the outgoing certificates that have the incoming certificate product item as a source. The shaded entry is the same as the information in the report header.

Adding up the shaded Used to Create amounts from the different source certificates will give a total no greater than the shaded Consisting of (in total) entry. If it is less, some of the product must have been created at the premises for which the exhaustion report was generated or else there is an error in the product tracking information.
