Exporter to Exporter Transfer
If the product is on-sold from one exporter to another you can transfer the product unchanged to the second exporter using the
button on an Approved Eligibility Document (ED). The button is only available if the consignee is a valid exporter ID.
Please make sure the source ED is correct before transferring it to another exporter as it is a long, involved process getting both amended afterwards. |
When you click the
the following input screen appears:

Enter a new certificate number, up to 6 digits. The system will not allow you enter a number that has already been used in the current calendar year.
As with any other ED, the full certificate number that assigned will be made up of NZL, the current year, the ID that the source ED was consigned to, the number you enter plus the letter T. eg NZL2008/ELN6000/123456T.
Enter the ID of the exporter to which you wish to transfer the product.
TAKE CARE, as it is a long, involved process to change this if you get it wrong. |
You cannot change any of the details from the original ED which is exhausted automatically when you click the Submit button and the system accepts the ED. Exporter to Exporter transfers are automatically set to approved by E-cert. The following shows on the certificate:

If there is a mistake on the source ED that you notice after you do an Exporter to Exporter Transfer, contact the NZFSA VA office where the export certificate is to be signed to get the source ED unexhausted and both its and your ED statuses changed to Request Amendment and To Be Amended.
