Nutrition Panel Calculator - to prepare a food label’s nutrition information panel

Food Standards Australia New Zealand's Nutrition Panel Calculator (NPC) helps food manufacturers to calculate the average nutrient content of their food products. This information is then used to prepare a nutrition information panel (NIP); which is displayed as part of a product’s food label.

A nutrition information panel is a requirement of the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code, under Standard 1.2.8 - Nutrition Information Requirements.

To access the Nutrition Panel Calculator on Food Standards Australia New Zealand's website, you must follow these steps carefully:

1. go to the Nutrition Panel Calculator page on the Food Standards Australia New Zealand site

2. click on ‘Proceed to Legal Agreement and Terms of Use’

3. read the ‘Legal Agreement and Terms of Use’ information, and then click on ‘I agree’ at the bottom of the page

4. on the ‘About the Nutrition Panel Calculator (NPC)’ page, click on the ‘Proceed to the Nutrition Panel Calculator (NPC)’ link.
