Application A1001 – Food Derived from Insect-protected Corn Line MIR162 – Assessment Report

Thank you for the opportunity to comment on this application. The New Zealand Food Safety Authority (NZFSA) has the following comments to make.

NZFSA has had the safety assessment prepared by FSANZ reviewed by the Institute of Environmental Science and Research Limited (ESR). ESR and NZFSA agree with the preferred approach stated by FSANZ in the Assessment Report. That is, to amend Standard 1.5.2 to include food derived from insect-protected corn line MIR162.
