Proposal P290 – Food Safety Programmes for Catering Operations to the General Public – Draft Assessment Report

Thank you for the opportunity to comment on this proposal. The New Zealand Food Safety Authority (NZFSA) notes that this proposal is “Australia only” so does not apply in New Zealand.

NZFSA supports the proposal in principle. The requirements are broadly in line with NZFSA policy (as developed within the Domestic Food Review), in that caterers will be required to operate a Food Control Plan.
