Application A1015 – Ethyl Lauroyl Arginate as a Food Additive – Assessment Report

Thank you for the opportunity to comment on this application. The New Zealand Food Safety Authority (NZFSA) has the following comments to make.

NZFSA supports Option 2 to amend Schedule 1 of Standard 1.3.1 – Food Additives, to approve the use of ethyl lauroyl arginate as a preservative in the food types specified. We are satisfied that the proposed use of the additive is technologically justified and that no public health or safety concerns were identified.
