NZFSA submissions to FSANZ

FSANZ is responsible for developing food standards for composition, labelling and contaminants, including microbiological limits, that apply to all foods produced or imported for sale in New Zealand and Australia.

Applications to FSANZ seeking to change food standards are made by individuals, organisations or companies from Australia, New Zealand or any other country. Proposals are prepared by FSANZ to consider changes to food standards. Initial and Draft Assessment Reports for all applications and proposals are open for public consultation and the NZFSA responds to issues raised in these reports by writing submissions to each application and proposal.
