Organics - Exporting
European Union
The European Union (EU) recognises New Zealand’s official organic assurance programme (OOAP) as equivalent to their organic requirements.
New Zealand is listed as a ‘third country’ with equivalence with the EU for some organic products. Note that not all types of organic products are covered. For example, aquaculture is excluded.
Equivalence with the European Commission is recognised in the Commission regulation 1235/2008. See Annex III in the link below.

You must have an export certificate (official assurance) from NZFSA for each consignment of organic products you export to the European Union.
