Welcome to the NZFSA ANZ Veterinary International Cooperation on Harmonisation Website

The Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Group maintains this website to provide information on VICH activities in New Zealand and Australia.

What is VICH?

A programme aimed at harmonising technical requirements for veterinary product registration was officially launched in Paris in April 1996. It is the VICH - International Cooperation on Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Registration of Veterinary Medicinal Products.

Australia and New Zealand were offered, and accepted, Observer Status on the VICH Steering Committee (VICH SC).

In November 1996, representatives from the Australian and New Zealand veterinary chemical industries and regulatory authorities first met as the ANZ VICH Management Group (ANZ VICH MG) to facilitate Australian and New Zealand input into VICH.

To check on the status of VICH topics and guidelines, visit the VICH website.
