Processed food & retail sale - Approved Auditors
Exemption from the Food Hygiene Regulations 1974 is conditional on regular satisfactory audits by an independent NZFSA approved auditor.
The audit frequency will be set as a condition of exemption giving consideration to the relative risks and any other relevant circumstances.
Auditors approved by the NZFSA under the Food Act 1981 must met the criteria set out by the Director-General of Agriculture and Forestry.
To be approved auditors must demonstrate that they have knowledge, experience, skills and training in food safety auditing. The NZFSA will approve auditors only for those classes of operation for which they can demonstrate the required qualification, skill and experience.
Fees
Every application (including amendment & renewal) attracts an application fee of $137.25 (incl gst). The application fee must accompany all applications. Additional charges will be invoiced at $137.25 (incl gst) per hour if required.
