Brinks Chicken Limited in Auckland is recalling their Fresh Whole Smoked 1Kg after discovering that some were contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. All 1Kg Smoked Chicken having the Use By H080107 and H090107 should not be consumed.

There have been no reports of illness however any persons concerned about their health should seek medical advice.

The product has been sold through supermarkets in the North Island region. Customers should return the product to their retailer for a full refund or phone 09 292 7662 with any queries.

This recall does not affect any other foods manufactured by Brinks Chicken Ltd.
