ScienceAs the public demand for accountability for food safety increases, so too does the level of scientific research required. That research requires both domestic and international input and the Science Group has established new partnerships to enable it to provide the best information possible. The Science Group plays a key role providing both strategic and scientific information for the development of policy in the New Zealand Food Safety Authority. Scientific research plays a pivotal role in identifying, assessing and managing potential food borne risks to human health. |

NZFSA aims to always keep abreast of international developments in food
safety and food quality and to share that information within the authority
and with its stakeholders. - Genetically Modified Foods Food industry associations, food businesses and food safety consultants can use this information to help understand the micro organisms they need to control in their, or their client's, food processes. |
