2003/04 New Zealand Total Diet Survey Full Report

The 2003/04 New Zealand Total Diet Survey was carried out for the New Zealand Food Safety Authority by the Institute of Environmental Science & Research Limited. The NZTDS analyses for nutrients, environmental contaminants and residues in 121 representatives foods and the results are cross-referenced by sex and age range against data from the Ministry of Health’s nutrition surveys to provide dietary exposure assessments. This report provides a comprehensive picture of what most of the New Zealand population is exposed to in the food they are consuming. Previous NZTDSs have been carried out in 1974/75, 1982, 1987/88, 1990/91 and 1997/98. The final report is published in two separate documents; the report and ancillary data.
