International wine standards and market access
The NZFSA works closely with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) to ensure that the interests of New Zealand’s wine industry are effectively represented at an international level.
NZFSA:
- communicates and consults with the wine industry on international market access issues
- advises on dealings with foreign governments and international standard-setting organisations
- participates in and observes key institutions such as:
International Wine Office
World Wine Trade Group
Codex Alimentarius Commission
